I love Audible but I really wish there were more non-fiction books in member deals. It's always Sci-fi or crime novels. Its probably true that the majority of your members prefer fiction I get that but surely at least one category a month can be selected for non-fiction listeners? Sometimes I have the odd £5/6 to spend whilst waiting for credit but there's never anything to choose in the deals as I very rarely listen to fiction. Just a thought. Otherwise perfect 5*
The app works as it is supposed to, and the selection of books is satisfactory, but I REALLY wish the chapters said the actual title of the chapter, not 1,2,3 ect. Also, I tried to cancel my subscription a while ago, and thought everything was taken care of, but later found out I had still been being billed. The positive side is you get one credit per month, up to 6 credits at a time. Most books are one credit so I'll get a few more books and cancel again and still be able to access the books I've purchased. Lesson is, make sure you cancel your membership properly.
It's great. Books upload quickly, doesn't jam up my storage space... I love it. I really enjoy the scope of authors and titles the app has to offer. I don't believe there's been a title or genre I've yet to have trouble finding. One of my main joys is settling down after the day is done, relaxing w my pup and listening to one of my selections. If it lulls me to sleep, its no matter as it's very easy to find my last marker. Excellent app!!
Amazing app, definitly worth the $15 a month. I didnt know every month you got a free credit for any audio book you could want. This was perfect for getting some 50 hour King books to last the month compared to 10 hour books thatd only last a few days. Ive never been an avid reader but audiobooks are completly different. I went from reading maybe a book in 3 years to 20+ books in a year. I would recommend it definitly if youre not into reading but love a good story. If you can listen with headphones at work, this is a lifesaver and will make the hours pass by.
I am an avid reader, but I travel a lot in a car, where I am typically the driver. So this app gives me access to books I want to read, but never have the time to do so. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of books available, even less known authors I assumed they wouldn't have. My only complaint is the cost. I'm on a very limited budget because I mainly work as a volunteer. I wish the books and monthly fee pricing were cheaper, but I've managed to pinch my pennies to afford it . It's not outrageous though. I definitely recommend giving it a try for the free month trial. It's a fabulous way to get in some listening and learning.
Great App, lots of selection and quality programming. However I just changed to the Canadian version and can't seem to buy extra credits anymore. Only "discounted" pricing for other selections. Sorry but I can't make myself pay $25-30 for other selections, when I used to be able to buy 3 extra credits for 35. Guess I will have to limit myself to the one credit. 😔
Access multi-part titles and more subscriptions through an improved view in the library.
