I wanted something simple and fast that I could control easily and turn on and off without worrying about saving my place, but I also wanted something with a few extra features. The 30 second jump forward or backward, the bookmarks and placeholders, etc. I can view my entire library and only download the ones I want right now, and then I can remove them from my device afterward. It also let's me browse new books and mark them for later purchase. It's great as a free app, but if you have a little extra money each month, get the audible subscription, the one that gives you free credits to buy new books. It's well worth the price.
I loved this app but the new update causes the reading to stop on it's own sometimes 4 to 5 times a MINUTE! Driving to work this morning it shut off 70 to 100 times........ Makes for a dangerous drive. Lawsuit anyone? A good narrator makes a great story
A lot of features about audiable that seem to get messed. You can change the speed of The Voice. So if somebody seems to be reading too slow or too fast you can adjust it. Also it has a sleep timer. So if you try to catch a few chapters before bed but worried about falling asleep you can turn on the sleep timer.
Have been using for over a year now and am very pleased. I never get time to sit and read and if I do, I usually fall asleep, so this app allows me to hook up to Bluetooth in the car and listen to books being read on my commute to and from work.
Please integrate book summaries for self help books like blinklist is doing. It will be the first and only app to have both full books and a summery section for self help books.. also, i dont get it. I pay around 10$ to watch unlimited movies on netflix or unlimited songs on spotify but here i pay 15$ for 1 audio book for month? What do i subscribe to? Some of the books cost less than 15$.. anyway its wayy too expensive or im missing something
Allows me too listen to any of my Audible books, keeps book marks. Allows me to shop and select from a pretty decent selection of titles. At some point they made it difficult to find how many credits you have. IMO it was better when they displayed it as a number in a notification area. Easily accessed information makes for good app design.
