Excellent app! I listen while I work. I've got an unusual issue where I fall asleep after reading for more than 10 minutes. Had it since I was a child no matter the situation. Even if standing and reading out loud to others. This has helped me learn so much. I would give it 5 stars if you would be able to download the PDF that accompanies books straight from the app.
I didn't find the process of activating clear enough and accidentally made 2 accounts, got charged 30 dollars today and really wasn't expecting it. Ill admit its mostly my fault, but Im still not happy about it. The whole process was difficult, not just of creating, canceling and managing accounts, but also when I wanted to purchase more credits it in general was a difficult process, especially through the app. I believe the app should have every ability the website does, should be easier to navigate and use. Finding and downloading books was well done and easy enough, just account management, purchases etc that need to be fixed.
This app is good, but there are a few things I'd like changed. I use the sleep timer often, and I'd like an easier way to reactivate it if I'm not asleep yet. I have an old app (ambling book) that ticks softly for 10 seconds before it shuts off, and if you shake your phone, it resets the sleep timer for another chunk of time - the opposite of a snooze alarm. I love that feature. I also miss the old days of Audible when you got 2 books per month for $15.00. Now it's so expensive I rely on the public library more.
The volume is too low. If there was a way to boost the volume I'd give give stars. Excellent cross platform sync, great selection of books and the one book per month plan combined with one or two daily deals typically is more than enough material for my schedule. Overall extremely happy, just wish it were loud enough to hear when driving on the highway with the windows down.
I would have rated this higher, if the books were a little cheaper/you got more credits per month. I find that many of the books that are no longer new release are the same price (sometimes more) than you can pick up a phsical copy of the book for. That is disappointing. But the app itself is great, easy to use.
Latest version 2.10.3 constantly gives errors. Locks up and uses the rise "internal error" when it stops playing the audio book. Redownloading doesn't always fix it, the replacement book sometimes fails with the same error at the same exact time spot. This is extremely irritating when listening in offline mode, nothing you can do except delete the book and try again later. If this happens on my LG G5 I hate to imagine the pain of listening on a lower powered phone.
