Have been a subscriber since 2007. Throughout the years used it on both iOS and Android (more years on Android now). Android app has improved significantly to a point where I am mostly happy with UI. It would be great to be able to access the library by sliding down an active screen like you do in Google music, instead of two clicks: 1. Hamburger button and than 2. "back to library". Also impatiently waiting for Chromecast support (please?!).
Love Audible and the App for Android. I use it for learning languages, listening in conjunction with reading through Kindle with the add on feature, or just listening to books I enjoy when I can't enjoy reading them. Huge selection of books and thoroughly enjoy the dramatisations either by BBC for example, or Audibles own. Never a problem syncing across devices, or using the app. The features work well for most situations and the monthly subscription is, I think, fair. I do agree with some comments, when books are cheaper than the fee, but there are so many books in my wish list that are much dearer, I can prioritise these and pay separately for the cheaper ones. Such as daily deals, etc.
I love Audible and the channels section. It is more user friendly than before. However, I'm having problems playing back downloaded episodes; older episodes that I had previously downloaded will not show up in the downloaded section, but will play when I start going through some of the visible episodes. The older episodes are like phantoms. I don't know if they are still downloaded, or if I can delete them. Please fix this, and consider creating a playlist section where I can play episodes in the order I'd like to hear.
I am really enjoying my trial and will probably continue by paying into the membership. Wish there was more content included for streaming/downloading that is a part of the membership cost. But the free 1 audiobook a month is not bad. Streaming sometimes freezes, even when on wifi, when multitasking on my device. It would be cool to borrow streamed content to listen to offline and return it to borrow another...
I love audible and have had a subscription for years. The app has been solid and stable for quite a few versions. The developers have done an awesome job. However, I do have three wishes 1) I wish I could track my library/playlist by book series order. I have dozens of book series, some with 20+ books and my memory and Google are a difficult. 2) I wish there was a suggest to the publisher button. There are a few book series that stop after the first few books in the series and it always leaves my dissatisfied. 3) I wish there was consistency in naming (book number in title etc) or a way to suggest that a book is actually part of a series not listed by audible.
I love reading books and nvr thought about listening 2 one, but now that my phone has audible n i tried it its really awesome! The only thing I don't care for is that u have 2 pay monthly n u only get 1 credit. Way 2 much for me. Maybe if we could pay 4 a 3 month subscription at a good rate I would sign back up!
Channels has an improved interface that helps to quickly and easily determine which items in a Channel to listen to, and have clear signals on the actions to take on them. This includes an expandable row view with larger controls for playing, downloading, and getting details. Additionally, Channels are now followed or unfollowed by tapping the Follow button on their detail page.
