I love books and I still read paper books but Audible makes it possible to "read" while I'm walking, doing housework, riding the bus, etc. There's a huge selection and almost all of the narrators are wonderful. You can listen to a sample before you buy to make sure you like the voice. Only one small negative: I miss the "This is Audible" podcast. It had samples and reviews and introduced me to some great books I might never have tried otherwise. Please consider bringing it back!
Listening to books makes them come alive!!! I was hesitant at first because nothing beats holding a physical book and turning the pages... HOWEVER listening to books is not only convenient (for traveling, driving, etc.) but it's also far more engaging to have a book read to you. Everytime I get so lost in the story that I end up listening to an entire book in one day! Audible also does a great job of making a user friendly app with good prices. 10/10 reccomend :)
Lovely to be able to listen to Esther Perel! The app in general is very good and easy to use. It may still benefit from a better menu (where to find my library, easier way to find what is in my list after buying it, less need to click several buttons after each buy, etc). Also, when downloaded into my laptop, it does not have the option of rewinding for 10 seconds (which is a nice feature in the cell phone app).
This app has really grown on me. I found a book that I really wanted to read but didn't have enough time so bought the audio version. Initially I was listening for about half an hour a day while getting ready in the morning, but now I am making time to to listen to more passages during the day. I will definitely be buying additional books this way. The app is very simple to use works perfectly.
I got addicted very quickly. Now if a book on my list has an audio version then I listen to it while cycling, taking transit or cooking (so it feels that it takes zero time) and I use Kindle only for other books or to look up concrete things. Whispersync (the feature to sync Kindle books with Audible) is great too, and it is a small but important thing that you can play, pause, jump back from the lock screen. I wish chapter titles were supported instead of just numbers (where applicable).
I really benefit from this app. I like it a lot. My 2 requests would be... 1. a follow along text so if i want to pause & take notes I don't have to keep rewinding. It's a shame to have to spend money twice to get the same book. 2. Chapters labelled as is in actual book for review and study purposes. I'd love to know if anyone else likes these ideas.
Bug fixes and enhancements.
