About this app

AudioNotch's mobile app allows you to create and listen to Notched Sound Therapy that has been customized for your particular tinnitus frequency.

Tinnitus is the perception of sound in the absence of any external environmental sound. It affects millions of people worldwide, and usually presents as a persistent ringing in the ears. (4)

Notched Sound Therapy is a tinnitus treatment that can lower the volume of your tinnitus tone. It is created by taking either music or "white noise" and removing the sound energy—"notching it out"—at the same frequency of your tinnitus tone. (2) In some experiments, tinnitus volume was reduced by 75%, 26%, and 20%, respectively. (1,2,3)

FEATURES INCLUDE:
- The ability to match your tinnitus frequency using our tinnitus tuner (free, does not require an account)
- The ability to create Notched Sound Therapy customized for your particular tinnitus frequency (requires paid account)*
- The ability to listen to Notched Sound Therapy (requires paid account)

A paid AudioNotch account gives you full access to our mobile app and our web app. Through our web app, you can create and listen to the same Notched Sound Therapy audio files online.

*Notched White Noise and Notched Natural sounds can be created directly in the mobile app. However, creating Notched Music requires the usage of our web application on a computer (access to this is provided with the same paid account). Notched Music created via a computer can be listened to on the mobile app.

Neat concept, but you can achieve the same with apps that don't require internet connection, registration, payment. Or better yet, at the ORL (doctor). You should not have your well-being depend on a private company.

Pretty good. Only been using it for a couple of days but I feel like it is helping. Though the app does crash every now and then when switching between apps. Also need to work on the UI for sound selection. I don't want to scroll a massive list. Would be nice if you could convert songs on the device itself too instead of relying on the Web app

COMPANY IS NOT OUT OF BUSINESS, BUT THEY SURE DO ACT THAT WAY. I've been using the app for over a year. However, several months ago all of my created audio therapy disappeared. I tried emailing and calling the company many times. When they finally responded, they said, "Whoops, we had a server malfunction." I managed to restore all of audio, only to have it disappear a few weeks ago. And yes, you guessed it, the company hasn't returned any of my recent emails.
