Limited Species, Clunky Interface On first glance this app looks great. Within my first 3 sightings which I tried to add, I ran into species missing that are not all that uncommon. In this case a Yellow Billed Cardinal. Additionally the interface doesn't flow very intuitively. I had many restarts as i tried to identify and add my birds. It was frustrating.
Audubon birds Requires internet connection to add birds to your list(s). Also requires re-entry of location and month for each search... and then again when you want to add them to your lists..conclusion: not suitable for birding in the wild
Download issue fixed with 6/9 update Is a really great app, and now with the data download problem fixed, I have all data on my sd card so I don't need connectivity. I would humbly submit however, that public relations would have been better served by answering the many email complaints about the download problem, or by issuing a blanket statement about work being done on the problem, while the work progressed.
Works again. It's a relief to have the database download working again. I'm taking off one star because it took you wayyyy to long to fix the problem.
My favorite app! They just fixed the problem with sync. I've had this app for a couple of years. It's my favorite birding app. I always go to it first, then sometimes to ibird for another picture or different description. I'm really happy they fixed that bug and I can have this app on my new phone. I highly recommend for birders.
Loads very slow. Actually works on my Nexus 5 (5.1.1), but "Cannot find DB" Error on my Nexus 7 2013 (5.1.1) Frustrating when you pay for an app and it doesn't load on all of your devices properly.
Some improvements and optimizations.
