Pretty good All in all, good quality app and worth the price. Not as detailed as I'd hoped. Not as thorough as the book fur sure. The pictures are nice, but don't always show top and bottom of the cap. Would be nice to see gills. I guess it's more of a companion to the book than something to be relied on independently. I'd be happy to see more species described, even if just with drawings to keep the file size down.
Definitely Worth It Not sure what everyone else is complaining about. Works just fine. Creating an account is optional. I wish more species were included (not to say that there aren't a lot included!) and for those that arent listed here at least their scientific name could be searchable and added to lists.
Better than most. Could use more photos for most in various stages of development for help with identification. Maybe make it easier to contribute?
Not recognized by the Samsung S4 I paid for this and all other Audubon apps, and the only one found through Google store, is the Birds app. Not able to even get the shared paid app. Lucky to get one star.
Not compatible I purchased this app and switched phones to the LG G3, and now it's not compatible with my new phone. I contacted Audubon, and it's been a month with NO reply from them. Can you say RIP OFF!
Does NOT RUN on newer phones! Be warned that Birds is the ONLY Audubon app that runs on newer devices. Not sure if it is a problem with running on KitKat or newer or a hardware problem, but Green Mountain could well fix all these apps if they wanted to as shown by Birds. But as long as people send them money for something that does not work, why should they? DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on ANY Green Mountain Digital app!
Some improvements and optimizations.
