This is a good app. its not got a very intuitive interface and it takes a bit of time to work out how to use it. However once you've worked it all out its really great. You can use it as a satnav on your bike and import gpx data from strava to make routes. Plus in the uk you can use full OS maps.
Very good price for what you would pay triple or more elsewhere. If I was to get this map from Garmin it would be $100 and wouldn't be compatible for my phone but instead I pay $20 and can get all the topo maps I need and want. This thing is amazing and its about time the market catered to this group of people like me. Now my phone is my hiking gps too.
As many other have said, quite a useful app packed with fearures, but not an intuitive interface. Zoom is always a problem. Also an idea would be to detect when the user is about to close a circle or goes from walking/running to driving, and reminds the user to stop recording. I always forget to do so at the end of my walks. Thanks team!
Uses OS maps which is rather a good thing IMHO, but also other maps too. User friendly, intuitive, and being able to plan routes on a PC and then download them onto your phone is great. The stats section could do with being a bit better (see map my ride). Still great :-)
I don't have enough spare time to use this app as much as I'd like to. But, when I do use it I like it more and more. Setting POIs is not intuitive to me, but that might just be my lack of knowledge.
Latest improvements are great. No longer slow to start up with no data. Use it for emergency response work and the Android Wear integration makes it worth buying a wear watch in itself. Now it uses a wear GPS independently it's great. Just wish it used the GEO intents like nearly every other mapping app. Also why ask for 6,8 or 10 fig grid ref before typing it in- the app could know based upon how many characters you type in which to use. It would be even better if you could paste a whole 6,8 or 10 fig grid into the box rather than having to type it.
