Offline maps don't have a pause button while downloading. If at any time the signal interupts in a 400mb map, the map stops downloading and it has to return to the start. For travellers on the road and people with unreliable internet, this is very inconvenient. Also if you buy map of a whole country, you still have have to pay separately for individual tiles, as you can only download the maps in large chunks. In New Zealand North Island, the central plateau with most major hike is divided into 4 separate downloadable area in 1:50000 scale. If they employed or asked a local, they would know that's a terrible way to do it, as many major hikes are in that area which is cut into 4 large chunks. Clearly an app that has not consulted their users in beta stage for New Zealand or this glaring mistake would be obvious.
Great app and, when I've needed it, the best and fastest support bar none, they've always responded within hours or, as on the last occasion, within the hour!
App keeps losing all my downloaded maps and I have to redownload. Please fix!
It would be better if the units weren't in metric!
Enjoying this app. Great to record our walks and has loads of public rights of way marked even on the free maps. Like recording my photos taken on the walks. Haven't got into the social media side yet. Mapping solo much better than my Fitbit app.
Would be great app, but the price for downloaded maps is too high. For example - I can buy the 2 printed OS maps of the Yorkshire Dales for£5.84 each. £11.68 in total. To download the same area from ViewRanger costs £26.99. Do the maths.
