About this app

Avita is a language learning app built for speaking practice. Every lesson is a conversation inside a story: you answer out loud in full sentences, and Avita grades every answer and shows you how a native speaker would say it. Learn Spanish, French or Italian by speaking it from your very first lesson.

No multiple choice. No word banks. No tapping tiles. You hear it, you think, you say it.

HOW A LESSON WORKS
• Read: a short text teaches the grammar and words you're about to use. Tap Listen to hear it with each word highlighted.
• Warm up: the lesson's key words are ready as flashcards.
• Speak: a character talks to you and you answer out loud. Stuck? Ask for a hint or a translation, or type your answer instead.
• Get graded: every answer comes back with a score, a corrected, natural version and a short reason why.

SPEAK SPANISH IN MEDELLÍN
The Spanish course is set in Edificio Sol, an apartment building in Medellín, Colombia, so you learn the Latin American Spanish your neighbors actually use. They have lives, problems and opinions, and every conversation moves the story forward. It's Spanish conversation practice with people you get to know, from your first "hola" all the way to B2.

LEARN FRENCH AND ITALIAN THE SAME WAY
Avita also teaches French and Italian to English speakers, each with its own story: a new life in Bologna for Italian, and a new life in France for French. Same method every time: read, listen, then speak French or speak Italian out loud and get every answer graded.

For Spanish speakers, Avita teaches English with a story set in Brooklyn.

FOUR COURSES, A1 TO B2
Each course has more than 200 lessons across four levels, from A1 (beginner) to B2 (upper intermediate). Whether you're starting Spanish for beginners or picking it back up years after school, start at A1 and go at your own pace.

ALSO INSIDE
• Flashcards with spaced repetition: curated decks, or describe any topic and get a custom deck
• Tap a highlighted word to hear how it sounds

FREE TO START
Start your first lesson without creating an account. The first 5 lessons of every level are free, and so are flashcards and tips. Create a free account and you get 3 days of full access to every lesson and practice chat, with no card needed.

AVITA PRO
Avita Pro unlocks every lesson in every course, plus open chat and role-play scenarios for free-form Spanish speaking practice. Choose a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and you can manage or cancel them anytime in Google Play.

WHY WE BUILT IT
We're two friends who quit our jobs and moved to South America to learn Spanish. Every app we tried taught us words, and none of them got us to a real conversation with a real person. So we built the one we wanted. Our goal is to teach you enough to make a friend. After that, they'll teach you the rest.
