I purchased and installed WeatherBug Elite (ver 3.0.169) on both my Nexus-7 and Samsung Galaxy 4S devices. The small rendition of the radar map shows my locale (N.E. Ohio) on both devices; however, when I press on it the subsequent map detail shows the Cayman Islands in the Caribbean Sea. This happens ONLY on the tablet. The same function on the phone shows map detail of my locale. I could find no support on Earth Networks website. Apparently they have abandoned the "Elite" version. Further, they have provided no options for those of us who paid fro the "Elite" version. I can't figure out how to get the tablet to display the map correctly and I'm not pleased at all with the lack of Earth Networks support. EDIT 06/01/2017: Installed ver 18.104.22.168. Above issues fixed. Thanks for bringing back the Elite version. Only wish the old widgets had not been replaced.
There are quite a few weather apps out there that get the job done. I've always liked weatherbug...paid version. Could use a little update, but info is still good. Spark is definitely a big plus. ...06/21/17 Update: The new UI is a nice improvement. The map upgrades are nice too. Thanks for not abandoning us "Elite" folks.
This is the most accurate weather app I've ever had, it's the only one I trust now. I love the pollen count, it helps me know how to approach my day with serious allergies. Spark is wonderful! I love seeing exactly where the lightning is striking. It's also very accurate, there was a strike in my yard and the app read "0 miles away"
I've been using WeatherBug long before the Android version, and it has never steered me wrong. The best weather app, no question. And for people with your nit-picky criticisms not worth the time you took to write them (like certain versions only having 7-day rather than 10-day forecasts or the widget not being big enough for you, the "feels like" not working right, etc.) get over it !!! The majority of the info that is pertinent is there for you, or maybe it's time for you to search out a new program.
Suddenly brought back from abandonment, it is nice to see the UI update, but the great, highly legible and efficient widgets are gone. Even when it was not fully compatible with Android N, I kept using it (putting up with refresh issues) because it had the best 4x1 widget of any weather app on Android. Now it has these stark, minimally useful widgets similar to what has been available as a separate Play download, with only the current day's information. Please consider bringing back the old 4x1 widget.
I've installed them all and weather bug elite is the one that I have always kept and returned to. A smooth and accurate application that doesn't eat the battery. The weather bug system has always warned me well in advance of the NWS. Thanks for all. The latest update is visually and functionally stunning as it regularly compared to other weather apps/program Elite is back and I believe it's the "gold standard" of applications.
