So far, so good! My brother just learned Russian thanks to you guys & I decided to go for German! This is really excitiiing!! Although you need to pay for the app, it is money very well spent. How much do language courses cost?! A lot more. Yes. Exactly. Stop whining and go download an app with a thousand 3rd party ads if you aren't happy. Ciao, bye, merci bonsoir! And finally, good job to the whole Babbel team! :) I love the different learning methods!
There are free language apps in the play store, such as dualingo. I downloaded this app and paid for one years subscription then my friend told me he downloaded dualingo for free. I feel robbed!! My fault, I should have done my research. Babel is a good app but why pay for something when you can get it free
The learning process is intuitive and the lessons are relatively straight forward. You learn simple greetings and phrases to start with and gradually learn harder concepts and sentence structures as you progress. The ability to review all the words and phrases is convenient to help you remember things you might have learned days/weeks/months ago. The only way to get better with languages is to practice and this app certainly helps you do just that.
Good app, but you hide the fact that it's paid only until after the first course is done and I've gone through the effort of signing in. Scummy use of sunk costs fallacy.
Very good app, I learned a lot from it. It is just a shame it isn't available in more languages. I learned German from English, but I would have prefered Dutch.
You should say only 1 lesson is free so people don't waste time
