You must pay Sadly this is not a free app and is deceptive about it. It says its free at first but to keep going you have to pay.
One problem: free competition Babel is a good app for learning French, or any other language they offer. The biggest problem with Babel is that Duolingo is better in almost every way, and it's FREE with no ads nor upsells. Babel's exercises are a bit silly by comparison to Duolingo, (letter scrambles, multiple choice.) When I decided to try both at the same time, and Duolingo opens new challenges as I advance while Babel asks for another $12.95 since my subscription ran out, well, sorry Babel.
Brilliant - so convenient Most of us have busy lives and finding the time to learn a language is difficult. Babbel have created a very effective app that enables you to learn at whatever rate you can manage, even if you only have 10 minutes available every day. The app also tracks your revision too, so what you do learn gets brought up regularly, thereby getting committed to your longterm memory. You just have to remember to do a little bit every day and you will get there. The daily reminders are also a really helpful feature.
Good tool to learn a new language It's a fun and interactive tool to practice a new language. My only gripe is you are unable to learn multiple languages from a single subscription. I would have to subscribe to French and German separately if I wanted to learn both. Should be unlimited within your subscription window. This might not be for you if you desire multiple languages.
Awesome App I have been using this to learn French and this app is good. The pace and logic in which it teaches is amazing. Right now you can get a years subscription for $60(that's l like $5 a month)... Well worth it
Great For Learning On the Go I started using Babbel on my computer several years ago for another language. I like the way the lessons are presented and have confidence in the company. This app is convenient for learning on the go, but I will admit that I'm less distracted at my computer. The greatest thing about the app is the ease of use. Yes, you have to pay to advance through the lessons, but I feel it is well worth the cost.
We’ve added two new subscription options! Now you can subscribe to courses for three or six months.
