E-Z App allows you to control any Bachmann E-Z App train directly from your Android device. The app has a simple easy-to-use interface to control speed, direction, lights, and realistic train sounds built right into the app. Control as many trains as you want simultaneously from up to 100 ft, and enjoy updated features through regular app updates. Also use E-Z App to update the firmware in your Bachmann E-Z App train to take advantage of all the latest features.

Like everything digital, there are connection issues. However, after buying an RS-3 that is equipped with this app I am quite pleased with the results. Perhaps my favorite is that the sound comes through my phone rather than the train, meaning I can put on headphones and not bother anyone else. The main limitation is that the app is pretty basic, so my recommendation is to maybe have one or two locos with the EZ app and run DC or DCC for everything else. Also, 16V power is needed.

I have owned a blue star train set for a long time, and uses it with my previous phone without any issues. After upgrading to a OnePlus 7T Pro, running Android 10, the app no longer seem to see the train to connect. My old phone still connects, and my wife's iPhone still works. Just wondering if it's an Android 10 problem? If I manually search for a Bluetooth device, it does see "BoxcarWilly", and I am able to establish a Bluetooth connection, it just still doesn't show up in the App for control

April '21 update is latest version and included fix to re-enable users with Android 10+ to connect to the trains they bought from Bachmann. Here it is six months later and while the app allows connectiin again for basic contols, the sound effect don't play at all... not from your phone/tablet and not from a connected speaker. This worked fine in the old app, but sound is broken in this version and still no fix after six months? They just don't care.
