Bac Kan province is located in the Northeast region of Vietnam, 168 km from Hanoi capital to the North, adjacent to 4 provinces: Cao Bang, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang. The natural area is 4,795, 54km2, the average population density is 58 people/km2, including 7 ethnic groups: Tay, Nung, Kinh, Dao, San Chay, Mong, and Hoa. The average annual temperature is 22.50C.

Ba Be Lake is a beautiful natural landscape relic of Bac Kan, recognized as a special national scenic relic (in 2012). In 2004, Ba Be National Park was recognized as an ASEAN heritage park, and in 2011 was recognized as the 3rd RAMSAR area of Vietnam. Currently, it is preparing a dossier to request UNESCO to recognize it as a world heritage site.
Coming to Bac Kan, you will visit revolutionary bases, most notably ATK Cho Don - This is one of the base areas that Uncle Ho and other senior leaders of the Party and Government have established. lived, operated and led our nation during the resistance war against the French colonialists. Currently, Cho Don ATK is being restored according to the Government's master plan "Viet Bac War Zone".
