It seems to simply not work on Android. I can't add the fan. I've tried forcing stop, clearing the cache, clearing all data, uninstall/reinstall, and no matter what I do the app doesnt work. This is embarrassingly bad for a device as expensive as this. I won't be buying more (I own one and have bought two for my mom) until this is fixed.
Don't buy their amazing products until the offer support for Google Assistant. Like many hardware-centric companies, they fall behind in software. We have 2 fans & five lights all bought under the promise that Google Assistant support will be 'announced soon', according to emails correspondence I have with one of their reps. They even had a secret IFTTT beta you couldn't get on despite repeated promises. BAF products are incredible, but I can't see why in today's saturating IoT market, someone would spend $1500 on a fan, or $200 on a lamp (again, all wonderful), with no support or even a plan for integration with a major platform. ***February 23, 2018 UPDATE*** From BAS' response it is alluded that there may be GA integration in the works. I don't mind waiting, but until now their official response was that they don't plan to support GA at all. Which one is it?
AdGuard was blocks this app. Haiku tech support found settings in AdGuard that let the Haiku app work on my phone. Seems like a good app now that I can use it. I will give consider giving it 5 stars when they get it to work with AdGuard running.
This latest update is a huge improvement over the old app. It discovers all my devices very quickly and the UI refresh is much appreciated... It looks like an Android app now, and a beautiful one to boot.
App simply doesn't work. Such a joke, spending this much on a smart fan that can't even be controlled.
Is support for Google Assistant coming?
