I installed the new app (having used the old for a couple of years). It meant updating the firmware in the fans. I did this.... and... all three fans immediately stopped working. So, why the 5* review I hear you ask? Well, I called their technical support and they talked me through solving the problem. The technical support was wonderful... very patient with me, talking me through solving the issue. Anyway, the app works fine now. The improvements over the old are really good. It's slick, intuitive and now works very well. There are also functional improvements that are great for me... for example, I have three fans in three rooms each with a Nest thermostat. I can now pair each fan & thermostat and let them do their stuff autonomously! In summary, a great company, great technical support and a wonderful product!
