I love this app and the degree to which I can customize it. It takes some time to figure out all the settings, but once I did it worked like a dream. I sent in a feature request through the feedback option and Xavier got back to me the very next day and walked me through setting up exactly what I asked for but couldn't figure out. I've never experienced such fast and helpful support from an app developer before. Thank you! 3yrs in Update: I appreciate the regular feature updates!

Tried to like it. Came here when Pocket Casts lost their mind. They've since relented so I went back to Pocket Casts. PA has a lot of good features but it is a disorganized mess. It is riddled with mode errors. Settings are a mess, scattered here, there and everywhere. Sometimes you can't find the setting you want because you can't see it if you are in the wrong mode. Podcast Addict is a case study in how not to build a user interface. Devs should read Don Norman's The Design of Everyday Things.

This used to be a good app. A recent update introduced a bug where the player in the pull-down menu refuses to show. The dev was quick to blame me and/or Android for disabling settings that allow the player to be displayed, despite me sending him screenshots showing all needed settings were enabled. Now each time this app gets an update, I have to go into system settings & disable things that were already enabled then re-enable them several times just to get the player to show up.
