I have a podcast passion. This app satisfies! Features that stand out. Volume boost! Car screen is BIG. Sort plait. Find similar podcasts worked wonderfully. I had another favorite app, but one blogtalk would not download. PA did. Podcast thumbnails are great. A couple quirks exist, but not enough to rate 4 stars. X a vier! Nice work! Thank you.

Once I found it, didn't need another. They update so frequently, I have to update my rating to stay relevant. App has only gotten better over time. Being able to speed up playback is my favorite feature. (And it doesn't make people sound like chipmunks.) Even paid to remove ads, don't remember how much, but know it was worth it. App just keeps getting better. New sorting option to mix podcasts in the playlist, much appreciated!

Keeps pausing, was fine on my note 4 but since upgrading to the s8+ Its constantly and inconsistently pausing. Re: Issue has been fixed. At first I've said that it's a very well made app. But after using it for some time I must redact that statement. This is by far the best app on the app store that I've come by. It's chock full of features and it's very stable, it didn't crash or hangup during use. It's made as well as an expensive computer application. It's continually fixed and further developed by this wonderful developer. Even though it has a paid version, the only difference here is the fact that free one has ass playing on the bottom. I really recommend it to anyone who likes to listen to podcasts or radio on their phone. Down below is my old review. Easy to set up and use. Let's you browse or search through podcasts and radio stations with ease. Very well made app.

I went to this app three years ago, and I haven't looked back. It works seemlessly and has all the features and settings I want. It finds and downloads podcasts easily, and has a ton of controls as to what and how it downloads. I can integrate a download folder to allow me to queue up with everything else I'm listening to. The free version is nice, but the pay version is totally worth the price.

As soon as I leave my first review, the app stops saving to the external SD card. App says it can't save to folders that weren't created by the app...but I never created the external folder the app is using! The app did! If you want to use an external card to save podcasts for offline listening, look elsewhere...

This is the way Android works. As explained in the screen allowing you to select the storage folder in case you select SD Card you cannot select a custom folder. The App is great. However, there are no step by step instructions on how to update the frequency of the podcasts. As far as I'm aware, you can only update the podcasts every 24 hours. I eventually figured it out. Update: Kuddos to the fast response. Wow! I'm impressed by how fast the developer responded.This is definitely a 5 star app.

A great app. I like that's it's more customizable than Pocket casts. I am bummed there is no sync. It can dump backups and load them but somehow can't just do that to Google drive where it can be read by other devices. I hope that will be added but in the meantime I'm in.

I would give this app the full 5 stars as there is so much to do on it. Unfortunately the user interface is messy and confusing which let's the app down a little. But if you love podcasts, look no further than this app.

Great application for podcasts. Only complaint I have, which could be due to my own lack of knowledge regarding how to run the app, is I wish it had an autoplay setting for downloaded podcasts. In the middle of driving I'll finish a podcast then either have to switch to the radio or risk accident or ticket to start a new one.

This is the app for the podcast power user, no question hands down. It's years ahead of all the alternatives. The features it packs is incredible, and the support is amazing. The problem is you won't have any idea how to fully leverage it's immense potential until you've been in the podcast game for a while, and your really limited to your imagination.

The flexibility of this app is awesome! You can speed up (or slow down) to your specification, which is great to get caught up on podcasts if you're as late to the party as I am. You can also download playlists for times you may be offline, which is perfect for air travel and road trips. The app does crash occasionally, but it's free, so whatevs.

Loved this app but not recently. Its currently unusable as i'm unable to download new podcasts or listen to old ones because of the SD card location error: storage location isn't ready... I've tried to change the storage location in the settings/Download but the SD card default location cannot be changed : /Storage/2EE9-0E08/android/data/commodities. bambina.podcastaddict.files How do you fix this error?

In order to save episodes to the SD card you just need to select SD Card in the app Settings/Download/Storage folder screen. This error message either means that the SD card isn't available for now and a reboot should fix the issue or that it's corrupted. In that case analyzing/repairing the SD card should fix this. Best podcast app I've found so far. Would like YouTube playback in the internal player though. Kind of makes the function pointless if it's going to open up YT anyway. This may be down to YT's policy though. Otherwise a great app. Probably buy the donate version soon.

I really enjoy it. Been using this spp for about a year and a half. I gave it 4 out of 5 only because it would be nice to be able to go to the download page of particular podcast to look through past episodes through the main page rather than having to search for them even though there right there. Anyway that's a minor gripe. Great podcast app,I've never used any others and I have no reason to.

Easy to subscribe to my favourite podcasts in one place... Can pause and pick up where I left off... Only slight negative is having to manually refresh the feed to update which is nothing really... 9.5/10 would recommend! :)

It can be a little slow to stream, and if the connection drops out the player tends to skip a second or two, but that might be an issue with my connection as much as anything. Overall a very good podcasting app. I particularly like being able to search for podcasts or fill in RSS and sound cloud feeds. I'd like support for aggregating from more podcasting sites (like mixcloud!) If possible.

Once you select a podcast and it starts to play, the whole podcast should load in case of hitting bad reception. I understand that you can pre download but you can't always know when you'll get bad service. It's the only thing I can think of that would make it better. Other then that is great.

Love the app but recent updates have been making it run in the background even after rebooting, zapping my battery. Not happy. Response to developer: This is evidenced by my battery monitor, which I check multiple times a day, and always lists this app as taking most of my battery.

The app has always had a running background service. This service doesn't use any CPU/battery. Only playing an episode with audio effects enabled can use battery. Maybe you're facing the Google Play Services battery drain bug. As they just released a new version make sure to reboot the device. Pls contact me 1st in case of an issue so I can help.

Do not care for the new custom playlist tab since you can't get rid of it nor stop it from adding episodes unless you rename categories or delete them completely from the app. Will increase my rating once more control over the custom playlist tab is added.

Well, my issues were largely ignorance, and I must say the author is extremely helpful. and quick to respond The only issue I have (and with plenty of other apps are the same this way) is that I can't install this to my SD card, however, I can direct all the data that it downloads to my SD card. Also Android puts apps back onto Internal memory with each update, so, this may be a better way of dealing with storage issues since the app itself is not so large. The selections available under settings are very comprehensive. As to comparisons to other podcast apps, this is the only one I've used so far.

I am definitely addicted to podcasts, this one seems to have the best search feature I've found. I tried searching for which podcasts had my favorite comedienne as a guest, and this app came back with 40! Other apps only returned about 7. It seems to have every free podcast out there. Pretty easy to get used to the interface, basically everything you want in a podcast app.

The app only uses CPU/battery when listening to a podcast with Audio effects enabled. It won't use any battery while being idled in the background. Except the missing sync feature, this is undoubtedly the most powerful & feature rich podcast app. I love podcasts and I've used almost all the major podcast apps on Play Store in search of the best one - Podcast Republic, Pocket Casts, Player.fm, Podbean, Stitcher, Beyondpod, AntennaPod, Castbox, Dogg Catcher, WeCast. I've used them all. But for me nothing comes close to Podcast Addict. Player.fm is the second best podcast app after this but it's not nearly as powerful and functional. A big thanks to the developer. I think I can stop my search now. I'm fully satisfied.

I've tried a couple different podcast apps and this is easily my favorite. The catalog has had everything I've wanted, the UI is comfortable once you work with the app for a couple minutes (search tool is not in the most intuitive place but it's not too hard to find), and there are some AWESOME settings you can select to make it so the app will auto-organize your play queue for you. I will say that my experience has improved ten-fold since I started downloading episodes rather than streaming them. Episodes would regularly stop working in the middle when I would try to stream a few in a row. I don't know how much that has to do with this app specifically because I was having that issue with other apps too.. Anyway, just download the episodes instead. You'll be much happier.

It doesn't follow the download settings I have in place no matter how many times I double check or try reinstalling. I wait ten minutes for a podcast that should have autodownloaded to download/stream before giving up and moving to audible since I don't want to spend my commute in silence. I am happy I quit Apple, but I miss Overcast something fierce. ETA: I know how to read settings, homie. All I expect it to autodownload is NEW episodes; which it doesn't. Thanks for the personalized touch of a response that is condescending and rude.

Searching for a good podcast app after switching to Android - and this was the best, hands down. Podcast & Radio Addict has all the standard necessities, and several unique features. Play speed can be increased (I use 1.5x), and the rewind and fast forward buttons can be independently set to move the amount of time you want. You can also set a time you want to autorewind after resuming from pause - - or even use smart rewind, where the app adjusts the rewind time depending on how long it was paused. You can assign podcasts a priority (as many categories as you create), then sort, display, download, and play by priority. In addition to the global settings, you can modify a range of settings for each podcast. For instance, I can set the app to autodownload 3 episodes, but then set a monthly cast to 1 and a daily cast to 5. There are good display options, even a Car Layout in which the art is shrunk and the player buttons are much larger (also great for workouts). Having live radio station streaming as an option is a big bonus. Overall, this is a great app for folks who love their podcasts.

Outstanding app! It probably deserves it's ranking as the best / most used android podcast app. Listening to external files (like recordings of lectures from university) also works really well with this app; Podcast Addict is definitely more convenient here than listening to such stuff with your standard music-player.
