Happy customer for over a year I've been a customer since December 2014 with a Moto G (1gen) & I've been very happy with few causes for complaint. The issues that I did have with dialer not sending a call were fixed in software updates. If not for Republic, I could not have afforded a smartphone. I have not needed to contact customer support much, but when I did, they emailed me back quickly and courteously. I am excited to see the new features of the company as it grows and progresses.
Good service when it works.Good price. I have had a lot of problems with my wife's phone breaking calls because it keeps on switching from wifi to cell when we are at home. The biggest complaint is not to have a customer service phone number or a person to talk to. It is very frustrating when things don't work and the instructions given do not fix the problem. You should have a technical phone number to call when the customer keeps on having technical problems. Not everyone is a Tech savvy especially older folks. My wife is switching to service to my daughter's account with AT&T because of the problem.
No good In order to update republic wireless I had to disable basically every app on my phone because if storage issues (note: I only had a couple to begin with) and now it is even more useless. This provider has been getting worse and worse. Sure it's only $11 a month, but having a smart phone is moot when you can't use its features!!
Getting Really Annoying Having to turn my wifi radio off constantly. Only having Republic forcing it back on. It's off for a reason and I'm quite capable to turn it back on when I AM ready. Not you being sneaky and doing it with some code.
You get what you pay for I've been a republic wireless member for over a year and love the low price! With that said, it is not seamless WiFi/cell handover, I have numerous dropped calls/issues dialing and have opened 10+ help tickets with limited success. It is a lower quality service but you just can't beat the price!
Great Service I live in the middle of nowhere and could not find a cell service that worked at my house. I was lucky enough to hear about Republic Wireless and it has let me use the phone at home via Wifi. Would recommend to anyone in the same situation.
