Happy customer for over a year I've been a customer since December 2014 with a Moto G (1gen) & I've been very happy with few causes for complaint. The issues that I did have with dialer not sending a call were fixed in software updates. If not for Republic, I could not have afforded a smartphone. I have not needed to contact customer support much, but when I did, they emailed me back quickly and courteously. I am excited to see the new features of the company as it grows and progresses.
Pretty Impressed. I've had Republic for a month now. My WiFi usage is at 81%. I have no complaints. The call quality is fine. The pricing is great and the Lab ideas are awesome. Im getting everything I had with AT&T literally at a quarter of the cost. Thanks Republic. Update: I've had my service over a year now. I've never had to try and dispute a bill or even worry about a bill. I even used Netflix on a 10 hour road trip with no problems. Call quality and SMS are 99.99% flawless.
Good service when it works.Good price. I have had a lot of problems with my wife's phone breaking calls because it keeps on switching from wifi to cell when we are at home. The biggest complaint is not to have a customer service phone number or a person to talk to. It is very frustrating when things don't work and the instructions given do not fix the problem. You should have a technical phone number to call when the customer keeps on having technical problems. Not everyone is a Tech savvy especially older folks. My wife is switching to service to my daughter's account with AT&T because of the problem.
Good Deal It works almost everywhere I need to go. Although my phone roams in areas that are well populated sometimes too, which doesn't make any sense. But I can't beat the price and they don't overcharge for roaming!
No good In order to update republic wireless I had to disable basically every app on my phone because if storage issues (note: I only had a couple to begin with) and now it is even more useless. This provider has been getting worse and worse. Sure it's only $11 a month, but having a smart phone is moot when you can't use its features!!
We've been with Republic for about two and half years with very few problems. This is probably not the service for someone who doesn't do technical or has someone in the family who can do technical when you do run into issues. I'm a bit disappointed in that the cellular data refund plan was dropped for the 3.0 plan phones, but the cost is still reasonable for folks who need little to no cellular data. Overall I think its worth the price I pay for it.
- Voice roaming updates for Republic 1.0 plan members
- Possible solution for number unreachable error
- Various stability improvements
