BEWARE!!! EXTREMELY SLOW TRANSFERS!! With Simple, you can sit back and wait FOUR to FIVE BUSINESS days for your transfers to complete! If you used Google Wallet, it is exactly the same, except you have to wait a week for your money, instead of a minute. It's nice to know that even though the Simple site said they were switching to 2 day deposit availability two years ago, they still take FOUR to FIVE business days. I have accounts with Cap One 360, Wells Fargo, BoA, and this is the slowest by two whole days per transfer. The app is nice... But what good is the app if you can't use your money?
I began using this once Google Wallet was disabled. I enjoy the app and like its functionality. I give it 3 stars, for now, because it takes a lot longer for transfers to process than I'd like. For example, I transferred money from my bank account to Simple on a Saturday but the money did not appear in my Simple account until the following Wednesday. If transfer times can be improved, I'd give it a 5 star rating.
Replaced Google Wallet and happy with it Easy, elegant, and some additional features Wallet didn't have. Very pleased.
Simple is simply awesome! At first I was really unhappy that Google decided to stop supporting the Google card, however, they recommended Simple as a replacement and so far I am extremely pleased! The customer support is just fantastic and I love the "Goals" methodology for saving up money for whatever. The application also allows you to block the card from being used to give you complete control over how and when it can be used. Check deposits are also extremely easy to do. New features are further proof that customer service is #1
Amazing form can't be bothered with function This app is beautiful. It has a great design team behind it that really feels great. But I keep hitting a wall in the functionality. No Android pay, slow transfers, no savings options, no recurring budgets, no progress in the last couple years.
I love the idea of simple. A lot of the features that would take a lot of work at a traditional bank are really easy to do with them. For example you can temporarily suspend an account, change your pin, and authorize your account for out of country use right from the app with no hassle or unnecessary steps. Which I quite enjoy. But in reality there aren't any other pros to using them. All transaction are painfully slow (In everyday use: bank transfers take about four days (which is crazy), checks take 2+ days to fully process (my regular bank can process them under the same circumstances in one day). Simple has no android pay support (they are literally an online bank. Come on guys!). Also, there goals (that they like to brag up so I find it's necessary to mention) only allow money to be deposited daily. I find this very inconvenient as I get paid weekly.
