Since the app was 'upgraded' , without warning I can no longer edit or set up standing orders or access mobile pinsentry without visiting a branch to gain access to the "full" app because I can't find my pinsentry card reader. The old app was much simpler and better and I gave it 5 stars. It has now been overengineered and I give the new 'non- full' app 1 star.
1909 PM Update from barclays aparantly they don't support android 5.1 which I'm using . News to me as it worked fine 6 weeks ago and my phone a xaiomi is just 2 years old. My guess is they updated the app and didn't test it on older platforms and now just assume everyone will either upgrade their phones or change banks! 1909AM still doesn't work uninstalled and reinstalled but doesn't load past barclays screen. Barclays fixit please. 31-08 app won't open does not go past Barclays logo screen completely useless
Update - 1st September. The new app update is great, looks better and is faster. Well done! Previous review - Hooray! So after about 1.5 months (since early December 2016) the app is now working on LG G5 including contactless payments. Works exactly like it did before. Barclays did well to recover the app since it was clearly an issue with the Android OS and LG, rather than Barclays themselves. Can't have been an easy fix. Glad to have it back again though - great app.
Been doing all my business banking on this app for 3 years and been really happy. Barclay's updated the app & now can't access anything. Eventually barclays told my S3 is no longer compatible. Only options are to buy a new phone at my expense or change banks. Looking to do the latter. In meantime having to use someone else's phone to pay bills which ain't very secure. Come on Barclay's please release a fix before I leave you.
Before the update the app was perfect and did everything I needed it to do, but now it doesn't work and just has the Barclays logo and doesn't load. For reference I am using a Sony Xperia Z2 on android 7.1.1. Please release a new update so that it will actually work. I have to use a cash machine to even see my balance. Not happy at all :(
Fast. Reliable. Easy. Stable. Full of features. And yet improving constantly... ***UPDATE. Sorry. I don"t like latest "improvements". Some features may dissapear temporarily? Why??? When I need to use my saved payees YOU just keep my list hidden from me! My son, my wife... OUR LIFE MAY BE AFFECTED BECAUSE YOU RESERVE YOURSELF SUCH A RIGHT TO HIDE SOME DETAILS FROM ME? ON WHAT BASE?
