Batik Analyzer is an Android-based batik authenticity detection application developed by the Center for Crafts and Batik of the Ministry of Industry, using Artificial Intelligence technology.
This application is able to identify batik cloth (written batik, stamped batik and or a combination) and batik imitation.
According to SNI 0239:2019 batik is the art of handicrafts resulting from coloring using hot wax (batik wax) as a color barrier with the main tool for attaching batik wax in the form of written canting and/or canting stamps to form certain motifs that contain meaning.
Definition of Written Batik: Batik is made using the main tool canting Tulis to attach hot wax (batik wax) and form certain motifs that have meaning.
Definition of Batik Cap: Batik is made using the main tool canting cap to attach hot wax (batik wax) and form certain motifs that have meaning.
Definition of Combination Batik: batik made using the main tools of canting stamp and canting writing to attach hot wax (batik wax) and form certain motifs that have meaning.
Products that do not meet the rules of SNI 0239:2019 are categorized as batik imitations.
The presence of the Batik Analyzer is expected to be a solution for the protection of the national batik industry in the Industry 4.0 era.
1. Prediction results are obtained from analysis using artificial intelligence.
2. Prediction results cannot be used to absolutely assess the authenticity of batik.
3. More accurate results can be obtained through laboratory testing.
4. Products with the Batik label: Indonesian batik is batik whose authenticity is guaranteed.
