My review of Combat Mission. Followed tutorial, did everything scenario told me to wait. After 45 min nothing happened and had a major victory. Just plain stupid. Don't buy this game.
No help Bought this after being a PC fan for years. Opens, hangs at a black screen, then exits. Tried the forums for help and logged a help request with battlefront many weeks ago. No help coming from any source. Poor service.
Love this game I've played this game for around a year it does have its flaws but, its still an amazing game... I just wish the game would let me purchase the extra maps...
Good but a little disjointed. Units seem to attack who they want when u set them to attack certain enemy units, bazooka teams fire once in blue moon, how u work the fire support is complete luck, tanks are useless as the anti tank gun seems to be the most powerful unit in the game.I attacked one with 5 units and two tanks and ended up getting shot to pieces, come on......just seems like u have no control over the game whatsoever and are only an observer. Why do I have to pay for more missions as well
Good, but needs more missions and better camera control I always had a soft spot for the classic Combat Mission games (for the newer ones I do not have a powerful enough PC), so I was excited to try CM: Touch. It feels good and true to the original (even if simplified), but there are some flaws: 1. The camera control is clunky. Either a way should be added to be able to pan the camera freely (at leas up and down), or the default camera control could even be replaced with dedicated on-screen buttons. Yes, yes, for smaller screens this would remove valuable screen estate, but if that were a possibility for tablets at least (or a selectable option in Settings), that would be great. 2. MORE missions! There are only 7 available for Android. I know that for iPad you should be able to buy more in-game, but I do not have or like Apple products myself, so cannot tell... 3. Maybe a slight UI redesign would make controlling the units more efficient - say move the command buttons to a side, so that they always pop up say at the lower-left corner, in order for the player to be able to select them with the other hand. Currently they obscure the unit itself and a bit of space around it - with the suggested way the area around the unit would be free.
Almost perfect! Great to have such a good tactical game on Android. My only real gripe is that the application crashes as soon as I want to buy the additional missions. I already reported this problem but it's unresolved yet. On the wishlist: It would be nice to see a visual overhaul for meatier devices as an option (shadows, better animations), but the game itself is good as it is. Also, more missions and operations would be nice.
