Pool or billiards is a game played on a pool table with 6 pockets, 15 object balls, a cue ball, triangle, and a cue stick. The 15 object balls are further divided into 7 striped balls, 7 solid balls, and a black number eight ball. The 15 balls are "racked up" with the triangle; and one of the players shoots first and “breaks”, starting the game. The players take turns striking the white cue ball with the cue stick, attempting to knock a colored or striped ball into a pocket. To win in pool, the goal is to "sink" the black number 8 ball into a pocket, after all of your other balls have been sunk in. Players switch turns when no shot is made or when the cue ball is knocked into a pocket. If you accidentally knock the black 8 ball into a pocket early, you automatically lose the game.
The game of pool is easy, once you learn the basics, the fundamentals of pool billiards. Learn the tricks and skills needed so that you can call the shots, hold the cue stick right, and sink the ball in every time, just like magic. Impress your friends the next time you play pool. Download the Pool Billiards for Beginners app and you'll be well on your way to semi-pro.

- Boundaries of recognized table are marked with artificial lines on the screen.
- Either touch the screen 2 times with one finger or with 2 fingers at the same time to span a potential shot, the resulting shot will be calculated and displayed immediately.
- Move the "Shot Length" slider to adjust the length of the calculated resulting shot.
- Walk along the table, the calculated shot will be updated on the screen according to the respective new camera perspective.
- Hit the "pause" button to "freeze" the current camera picture on the screen to be able to place and evaluate potential shots more conveniently, hit it again to switch back to live camera mode.
- Integrated stabilizer function which filters noisy camera images (can be switched off at any time to increase speed).
¹ Please note: this app assumes the billiard table to be standard rectangular shaped, that is very exotic billiard tables like e.g. circle tables are not supported at this time.
