About this app

My Health Toolkit is the easiest way to access your BlueCross benefits.
 
What’s included:
ID Card: Access your BlueCross ID card on the spot — you can even send it to your doctor.
Benefits: See what’s covered by your health plan.
Claims: View the status of your claims in real-time and verify the amount you may owe for a service.
Spending accounts: Check the balance of your health savings account (HSA), health reimbursement account (HRA) or flexible savings account (FSA).
 
Additional features to be added throughout 2018.
 
Who can use this app:
--If you are a member of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina or BlueChoice Health Plan, this app is for you.
-- If you are a member of a different BlueCross plan, this app may be included. Just check the back of your insurance card to see if “My Health Toolkit” is part of your health plan’s website.

This app supports all medical and dental benefit plans administered by BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and BlueChoice Health Plan. This app also supports some large employer plans administered on behalf of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, BlueCross & BlueShield of Rhode Island, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee and Capital Blue Cross. Each of these Blue Plans is an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.

The app supports most of our members, but will not work for the following:
FEP (Federal Employee Program) members
Medicaid members

A great tool to instantly access to your health care coverages, along with answering the specific questions, as they pertain to you and your policy. Straight forward navigation, visual aids and tools, along with being easily understandable. I really like and would recommend this app, especially if you're not familiar with "insurance lingo", find yourself a little less than organized, and don't like to keep up with paper trail.

ID card won't load. Everytime I open the app and select ID card, it acts like it's loading and NEVER finishes. I've left it to sit and load for 5 mins, with a full, strong signal, and nothing. Defeats 90% of the purpose of this app. Also, when the app updates, it forgets that I want to use fingerprint authentication and so then I have to try and remember my password, which usually results in me getting locked out. Horrible app.

Complete failure of an app. Does not save password, so you have to enter it every time you use the app. Also will say your device isnt recognized every time if you cleared out cookies since last use. Browser pops open, says enter an emailed code, but when you open your email app and go back with the code to the browser, the page has refreshed and the code entry box page is now gone, and you're back to the page that says it will email a code. Viscious circle. Useless stupidity.
