In chess, a winning game starts with the very first move. It doesn't matter how creative you may be in the middle game or endgame if you lose the opening. Your goal while playing the opening is to reach a familiar and comfortable position.

This app will help you define a complete chess opening plan and will train you to execute it. It will also allow you to define mid-games or end games if you also want to train on these aspects of the game. The app uses an proven memorizing technique called "spaced repetition" which is probably be the most powerful technique in existence for improving your brain's ability to recall what you study. It continuously identifies moves that give you more challenge and helps you to improve by using an effective pattern of repetitions. The perfect execution of the plan you have prepared will give you an advantage against any opponent, even more so when it comes to timed games.

The concept is very simple: you select and enter only one move for your own color (your best move) and then you enter all possible opponent's moves in response to your move.

The idea is great and it works pretty good. One thing that could be better would be not having to name your opening before you go over it as sometimes one doesn't really know, in fact that's one of the things I like to learn is the specific name and variation so that I have a visual guide to remembrance. On that note, also, I wish the machine was was more detail oriented when naming the opening being played through analyzes. But these are small details that can be improved. Over all a great App!

This is a great app. I highly recommend. Some needed improvements: 1. I wish there was a way to paste PGN from clipboard. 2. It would be extremely helpful to be able to branch my own moves into other ideas, rather than only getting one best move per position. 3. For players looking to practice deep lines, it needs a button in the Editor view that takes you to the practice mode but for practice on the line you were on when you clicked the button. This is the biggest thing missing from this app.

Edit: Support responded to my issue very promptly and released an update that fixed it within hours. This is now a 5 star app for me. I like it, but I'm unable to backup due to FileNotFoundException. I used a file manager to manually create the location but unfortunately that did not work either. In any case I think it should be possible to choose the export location like you can do with restore location. As long as I can't backup I'm reluctant to use the app as I might lose all my data if my phone dies.
