The Before Launcher app, with your consent, uses Android's Accessibility Service API to enable the double-tap gesture to quickly turn off your device’s screen. Your use of this feature is optional. The accessibility service in Before Launcher is disabled by default. Your consent is required to allow the accessibility service to be used by the Before Launcher and when consent is granted it is only used for the double-tap feature. You can revoke your consent at any time. The feature and the service do not collect or share any data.

It is gradually helping. Makes me realize how notifications (even with my own rigorous filtering) can be so distracting and attention grabbing. The notification filter alone is a great feature of this app. But I also wanted to get rid of all the colorful app icons, and it seems like this app is the only one to let you make text-only folders. Great experience so far! And cheaper than buying a brand new dumb phone

... i have watched many videos about minimalist launchers but never thought about moving away from the default on my Motorola. one day I started downloading different launchers just to play around. I really dug the before launcher. I had the free version for a few months and just recently went pro. simple, efficient, and stylish.

I'm loving this so far. I've had it about a month. A great way for me to simplify! Some for my mental health, but also for my fading memory and vision. Made my life easier than I even expected it to. My only complaint is a fairly big one, which is why it's 4 stars. Pretty frequently it does not show the filtered notifications unless I open that app specifically. It seems somewhat hit or miss. But I loved everything else enough for this to be one of 3 apps I've ever paid for in my life.
