Great app This app controls the Hue bulbs much more efficiently than the standard Hue app. While it does not have the cleaned up and professional look of the default app, it more than makes up for it in usability.
Great app when it wants to work I paid for a app that sometimes works, the music feature keeps cutting off. I have to go back to the app to reconnect to the bridge. Major hassle. Would have given it 5 stars if it worked properly
Consistently inconsistent Samsung Galaxy S5 user here. This is full of bugs. Please don't waste your money. When using the app sometimes lights come on randomly after a timer is used to turn off lights. Widget is very inconsistent and intermittent.
Hue Pro at one time worked well. Every now and then it would lose a connection, about once every 2-3 months. Now, Hue Pro can only connect when I uninstall HuePro, and then install it again. Suffice to say, if I was a new user I would NOT buy this app unless you want redownload it again and again. I bought it to use the widget but because I have to redownload it repeatedly the widget settings get lost. It was a great app, now its not something I can recommend to end users.
Get it. Now. This is a good example of a good app with an even better developer. The program itself is rather good, although it does have a few (small) bugs. The dev responds to every bug report you make; needless to say, I'm impressed. I hope he keeps the good work and hopefully he also adds more features in the future. I'll update with news, good or bad (hopefully the former).
Sorry, can't recommend it! As a stand alone app it's great and has more than enough features. Yeah the interface is hardly material design but I can look past things like that when something works well. The cons though far outweigh the pros. Firstly, it's very hit and miss as to whether it'll work at all. It just seems to get completely stuck and even though it can see the bridge, just won't work. This is particularly prevalent on the music add on. It doesn't consider the state of the bulbs, only what IT thinks the bulbs should be doing. So for example, I've got several blooms all also bound to the included Living Colors remote controls. If you use the remote to make any change (or even switch the blooms on), Hue Pro will override that state and switch the light off again. It's VERY frustrating. As an example, I've got 4 bulbs in lamps in my lounge and there's a schedule to dim them to off at 11pm, starting 30 minutes prior. If however I use a Living Colors remote to switch the lamps off, Hue Pro will moments later put them back into the state of dim it thinks they should be in. I guess ultimately this is the issue you have when it's not the Bridge doing the control!
