I haven't even played it yet but purchased purely because of how you, the developer, responded to reviews. True, scriptless, honest responses. You hardly see that anymore and I'm more than happy to support that. Your influence is obviously self driven and I have crazy respect for that. "Why would you want the game to do the exploration for you?" Priceless. Tell em what's what bro. Never stop being you. I'll update when I get an few hours of play in.
The controls are easy: you can tap where you want to go, or tap and hold. Sometimes I do get a little frustrated as far as the turning goes... But not too often. The story included (via beacons) is interesting and creative. It can be quite a challenging game, but it's worth it, in my opinion. The graphics were great, and it it's a fun way to spend your time if you're bored!
The gameplay was decent. It was frustrating how the vehicle would not move around obstacles when getting stuck and no mini map or way of zooming out even a little was frustrating. The propaganda in the text at the beacons (the storyline) really threw out my desire to help fund the game.
I like the graphics it's a challenging game. At first I didn't know what to do but I figured out that you gather rare elements while going through obstacles. Fun game to bad there isn't many levels but, untill then a fun game
I figured I'd give this game a shot and while it's not my favorite type of game style it is still very well done for what it is. A majority of the negative comments I see on here are from people like me who prefer faster games but they chose to shame the devs instead of actually view the game for what it is. If you're laying in bed and want to play a relaxing simple game stress free game then this is what you're looking for just don't download it expecting machine guns and alien invasions.
I like the game. Rather enjoyable to say the least, but as another review described, I'd love if the littlw bot would travel around other objects for me. I found it pleasant watching the machine figure out its own way to get to the goal, similar to watching an ant collect food for it's queen. Relaxing, stress free, and fun to watch. If you could add it as an option at least, i would love it. It eased my mind in a time of tension thinking it was moving on its own.
UPDATE: we're trying to get AsterMiner crowdfunded through INDIEGOGO: http://igg.me/at/asterminer
Please consider supporting the game so it can be improved and finished!
- You can no longer get stuck if you left one of the train gates closed.
- The buttons on the music sequencer are a easier to press now.
- Moved some things a bit on the level selection menu so lvl 12 was no longer under the arrow button.
