I like the way this app is setup, but it still needs some work. The Romancized version of the Chinese needs the accent marks to help Western speakers get the inflection right. The audio clues really are the best way, but it helps some of us to learn by reading as we hear. And some of the audio ques are just wrong or don't match the Romancized translation. And how can the words for Left Right and straight all be combined like that??? Working out some of these bugs and adding more features to help people read, write and speak Chinese would make this a 5 star app.
Lame. Unprofessional. Lame set of sample phrases. About 3 of them are useful for an absolute beginner, If this is an add to purchase their real product, I'm not impressed & don't trust their posse selection process, nor their insight to "teaching". Uninstall. "Chinese Lite" is immediately better on all fronts.
Wrong pronunciations I'm from Shanghai. Have to say there are several mistakes in pronunciations, like wrong tone in “500”, and “pian” should be “bian” in “can you repeat that”. Also though “tai hao la” does mean “excellent”, it doesnt match with the expression used, and should be replaced by “zhen bang”.
Not correct - deleted Tried the free limited version only to find 4 errors out of 29 words in translation and pinyinu not matching the spoken words. Good thing not actually paid for this! Deleted.
Very useful It has the basic phrases used in everyday conversation. I got this app while I was in China and it made things so much easier.
Fantastic If you have patients and an understanding of learning. These apps are invaluable. I am recommending all to my friends, family and business contacts.
