It works, but it needs more to it. It works. I stream the video from my Nexus 7 2013 and control it from my phone. I'd honestly like this to look more like a remote. I know it's not really an important change but it would be a nice touch. But other than that, it works good enough.
Just works Didn't have any issues with detecting my Chromecast, pauses/plays even content started using Fling (streams/transcodes local media)
A Big No Doesn't work on my OnePlus One. Fails to catch the media playing on ChromeCast. A huge disappointment I must say
Does not work for me On Android 5.0 with my Galaxy S5. It connects to my Chromecast fine. Then from the app's menu I can launch Youtube and play a video (toggling to stream to chromecast) this app no longer says it is waiting for a connection but also shows no controls it just displays "Ready to cast" not picking up it is currently casting and playing via Youtube. I was excited to have this functionality so this was extremely disappointing. 😕
Great Idea Nice app, very user friendly. Would be nice to be able to access all the chrome apps especially Hulu plus and pandora in one place. Hope to see them in a future update. But overall a great idea, keep it up!
I must be missing something... All this seems to do is launch other apps. When I tap YouTube, it opens the corresponding app but does nothing else. If I play a YouTube video via Chromecast and go back into Remotecast, there are no controls. It doesn't even seem to recognize YouTube is playing even though Remotecast itself is also connected to Chromecast. What am I missing?
* Fix crashes experienced on Android 2.3
