The Montreal Airport Authority ("ADM"), under the terms and conditions of their Ground Lease with Transport Canada, must keep track of complaints and act on them. The ADM has created the Soundscape Consultative Committee to deal with noise issues.
Due to the relatively few complaints on record, the ADM does not see a problem and feels justified in doing nothing. Thousands of Montrealers are affected by aircraft noise and they must stand up and register a complaint. By doing so the ADM will be forced to respond and to make changes. We need modern tools to simplify the complaint process and increase the number of complaints.
