I think it's a great app. Definitely. But as someone like myself. I'm blind in one eye. So normally I would be a person to help others. But occasionally I'm the one needing help. The current layout doesn't let me do both. I would love that option. And as many mentioned, not getting notifications when people need help totally defeats the purpose of the app. People can't get help when they need it.
Sighted user here, I love the concept of the app and overall find the functionality to be great as well. The only minor issue I have is that on my Galaxy S7 using Android 6.0.1, I don't receive notifications despite having them enabled in my phone's settings. An in-app settings menu would be really helpful but other than that, I love the app and hope that others find it as helpful as I find it perspective-enriching and rewarding.
I am sighted. Notifications/alerts don't work on mine. And 95% of the time that I check to see if someone needs help there is no request for help. Thus my excitement to help almost always never pans out. And too often I don't bother opening the app. However, the idea is wonderful and I respect the concept of this app and therefore I give it 5 stars.
How the heck are we suppose to help someone when we never get notifications? Doesnt matter if the app is open or closed, there are no notifications. Bespecular, i am so disappointed in you, shame on you! I have personally emailed about this issue with no response, and its obvious from the other users that they are not being notified as well. Please step up to the task and do something about this issue so people arent sitting endlessly waiting for a response.
Well I do applaud the developer of creating an app like this. There is just a huge significant issue that I think needs to be addressed for Android 6.0 users and Android 7.0 users probably when I try to snap picture of what I want to have described, the app crashes immediately also, I wish there were a web portal for individuals to create a profile for this application meaning that you can type in the information you need to create a profile for the application online using your computer. Unfortunately you can only do that by the app from what I can tell
Like the fact I have hopefully helped a few people but it's hard to answer a call, the screen stays black and just makes sound and vibrates. I have to hit the power button to turn the screen on to answer....
Fixed a few issues that affected a small percentage of our users.
