Mosque DITURIA-Geneva, or Q.I.K.SH.D (Albanian Islamic Cultural Center Dituria), is a center formed in October 2005, by the Albanian congregation of the Great Mosque (of the Arabs) in Geneva. So Q.I.K.SH.D is the continuation of the organization of Muslim Albanians who managed the Albanian mosque in Geneva. It was initially formed as SH.K.R.B (Balkan Youth Cultural Association) and in November 2008 it was transformed into Q.I.K.SH.D. • Purpose of formation: Based on the fact that we Muslim Albanians lacked a mosque, then we joined and formed this association, with the aim of finding a place for the Mosque. This goal was realized in December 2005, and after some work that the new place needed for its transformation, we managed to make the solemn opening on April 9, 2006. •Current situation: Today our mosque has a regular imam, who is in the mosque for praying the 5 times of prayer, lectures on Fridays and Sundays, religious instruction for children and adults, and is available to the congregation for any religious ceremony. Also, within the mosque, the women's sector functions, with lectures and teaching, which is directed by a competent person, namely the hafiza of our Mosque. •Financial Resources: All these activities are made possible by our members, who have helped and continue to help this mosque by paying the annual membership of 300 CHF per family or 350 CHF including the funeral. Fortunately, this is not the only form of contribution because whoever wants can contribute with various donations and with indefinite amounts. You, brother and sister, who are reading this letter can also help the Mosque materially in the above-mentioned ways, because the mosque needs your help as well.
And by helping the Mosque, you help the future of your family. To show the importance and reward of the aid given for the maintenance of the Mosque and the benefits gained from this alms, we are transmitting a hadith from Uthman ibn Affan r.a. which says: I heard the Prophet, peace be upon him, saying: "Whoever builds a Mosque, for the sake of Allah Almighty, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise."
