This game is amazing. On par with hearthstone in terms of fun, balanced ccg games. You get new cards quickly and easily and there are so many different ways of playing with PvE and PvP arena modes plus the story which makes this game so much fun. One thing that could use improving is the loading screen. It seems tacky. Very tacky. Honestly if the loading screen seemed more fluid this would Trump hearthstone for me
It's a great game, and I definitely recommend for PC, but the mobile app could use some work. I'd really like to see a battery-saving or reduced-graphic option. If I have to be near a charging cable to play, what's the point in playing the game on my phone? Also, recent versions of this game are not compatible with certain devices, including the samsung galaxy s7. This seems like kind of a strange move, but I hope the creators will include a broader audience soon
A couple things need to be adjusted. The timer for your turn length in online battles needs to be either extend or have a flash notification for players that play without sound. Also, in versus when you choose 30 cards randomly to create a deck, sometimes I come against players who clearly had better cards to choose from. Sometimes I don't even get a choice for an epic card and my opponent would play 2 epic cards. I don't see how that is fair. I love this game, those are just a couple things I noticed. I just want the game to be the best it can be.
Very good CCG. You can build a competitive deck without filling it with expensive cards, and there's a crafting system so that if you need just a handful of cards to complete your deck you don't have to spend heaps pulling packs and hoping for a lucky drop - just craft what you need. The developers are quite active and transparent in making balance adjustments, putting out a monthly blog. I've played quite a lot and so far have nothing but good things to say about this game.
Short: it's a better version of hearthstone Long: It's not magic the gathering, but it's pretty close. At least a lot closer than hearthstone. It has customizable decks where you can can combine different colors/classes, and has great mechanics that play similar to magic. It is still a fast paced online game where you can dust and create cards, like hearthstone. More importantly, the in game rewards you get for playing far exceed those of hearthstone. You still have daily goals for gold, but you also get gold AND cards for just winning games. For the grinders who want to play these type of games without spending money, its not hard to stay competitive and doesn't take as long to get there. Packs compared to hearthstone are better in this game too. You get 6 cards instead of 5, and the pity timer for legendaries is something like 15 packs instead of 40.
Like many TESL players I am a hearthstone player as well. I was frustrated with the state of the game so I took a break and tried this game out. This game has everything card game should from fun mechanics, meaningful plays and the ease of building a collection. I started in october and without dropping any money on packs I have 70% of the collection complete as well as having a competitive ranked deck. There is also solo content to play including the base game story, two DLC stories (you can buy with in game gold easily) and a solo arena. Plus the game is in the Elder Scrolls universe so players of the franchise will be happy to see familiar characters. I recommend this game to anyone looking for a new and different card game. TLDR; This game has little RNG, easy to build collection and fun new gameplay mechanics.
New Story: Return to Clockwork City
Millennia ago, the tinkerer god Sotha Sil built himself a hidden sanctuary, from which to shape his vision of the future. He called it the Clockwork City, and it was there that he died, when a fellow god betrayed and murdered him. What secrets died with him? What was he building in those gleaming halls? In the centuries since, no mortal has entered the city. Until now.
