Really good, but not for people just starting off. It's a great app if you've had a little training in what the lines in the notes or the symbols beside them means. If you haven't had any training you'll be pretty confused. Maybe in a future update, you could list what note it is asking you to play, like c sharp and what not. Honestly then it would be the perfect app for people who literally know nothing about sheet music.
Great edutainment tool! In just a week I've increased my note recognition speed about 5 times. Repetition is the key to retention. I do a few minutes here and there while I'm waiting in line or on lunch break. Get the upgrade, too. Can't go wrong for just a buck, plus the accidentals are not only essential, they make the training much more fun and exciting. I play on a Samsung S3, which is a bit small, but works fine. Looking forward to tying on a tablet.
Good App I downloaded the free app and then purchased the full version coz this app improved my daughter's notes reading. There is one thing can be added. Now user can only select up to wave(speed) 9 in practice mode. After just about a week, my daughter can handle that with no problem, so a higher speed will be helpful with user skill development.
Helped me immensely If you have trouble spotting the notes without going through the alphabet, or using a point of reference this app will change that. I'm on it 10 minutes per day and I'm reaping the benefits. It could use a mode that allows for bass and treble practice at the same time to get the brain used to switching quickly.
Not bad, but very limited features On the positive, it is a stable and pretty app. However, it lacks several features to be useful: bigger touch areas, landscape mode, customizable note ranges. But the main weakness is that you cannot choose at what speed to start in play mode, and you have to start always at the lowest speed. This makes the app almost a one time only toy. Other apps are much less pretty, but at least they are useful in the long run.
Really good and useful I just wish it included E and B sharps and F and C flats, since you're gonna run into them alot irl, would like to get conditioned to them. Also double flats and sharps and maybe a natural symbol when a note is a returned from flat or sharp in practice mode
