Sometimes easy, sometimes challenging, depending on the level. Great for when you're sitting around waiting with nothing else to do. I don't mind the in-app purchase options to remove ads and buy all levels and themes. But the option to buy hints ruins the game. I would rather be able to completely buy the game and not get prompts to purchase hints or even have the option available to buy hints with real money - even after purchasing every other option available in the game. Deleting so I don't impulsively waste my money on hints. :(
This game is fantastic, pure puzzling at its simplest yet finest. The gameplay is easy to understand but opens up so many opportunities for clever puzzle design, which they implemented very well. For free you already get thousands of puzzles, and you can spend $4 to get thousands more, which is well worth the money considering they're generally harder puzzles, too. The game also feels very polished, with very clean cut black, white, and vibrant colors as well as simple but effective sound design. The only problem I have is the extra color themes: they're not really worth it because they're either too similar in color to be easy to distinguish, or too blaringly bright to be pleasant. Also, the theme store doesn't help that issue, as it only shows the first five colors of the theme in a row of dots rather than more of them in a sample puzzle, so you can't see how the theme will actually look until you buy it. Regardless, the regular theme is fine enough, and the rest of the game is fantastic, well worth the download and $4 spent.
Keep it simple stupid... This app is great for everyday use, especially when paired with a highly and visually appealing freeware game (like this one). Truly convenient downoal. And it opens quickly without any delays. Beautiful graphics. Enticing controls. What more can I say? I just really enjoyed playing it..
Uuughhn. Update: New device, and everything reset. Says achievements: 50/82, has the color combos I purchased and everything. ...but free play is a blank slate. After doing 2500 of them perfect I can't start over. Disappointing =( This game has fast become my favorite app for the subway commute. It's just difficult enough to keep you engaged and trip you up, but without making you frustrated enough to give up. Plus, it's one handed (a must when you stand for 30 min) and works without data connection. The only things I'd change are about hints- needs a 2nd prompt after use (most of mine used by accident) and should persist if you close out and come back to puzzle. (Currently if you leave puzzle the hint disappears) overall A++
Love simple puzzle games to help me relax and wind down and this is it. Very simple, not too complex, a plethora of free puzzles that will have you playing for days and weeks and never repeating the same puzzle. Diffent puzzles with different mechanics but all very simple. No long tutorials or holding your hand, just pure game.
It's an addictive game with a tolerable game interaction; but it's revolting that I can have this game on my Windows desktop, my ipad and my Android phone, yet when I pay AUD5 for the game one one device to remove the ads, I have to pay the same fee to remove the ads on my other devices. Even worse, all of my gameplay on one device is not recognised another of my devices. To add to the insult of the price, I paid the AUD5 to remove to ads on my Android phone, I bought a new Android phone, now I'm expected to pay AUD5 AGAIN to remove the ads?!
Happy New Year! This update includes various minor fixes and improvements.
