Awesome Game! This is, in my opinion, an excellent game. The graphics are exceptional on my Bionic phone. The storyline is unique, and the controls are easy to use. I especially like the fact that you can zoom in and out of hidden object scenes. Overall, I highly recommend this game. *EDIT* The spammy ads that someone mentioned are actually a request to rate the game and an offer for two free PC or MAC game downloads from BigFish Games. just click on them once, then either complete them or back out and you won't see them again. As for the two free games, I received Ravenhearst and Fairway Solitaire for PC. These games are normally offered on BFG's website for $9.99 for non-members and $6.99 for members. I don't think you have to join to get the free games.
Not the best from this company I have bought several of these and found this one the least good. It feels short and most of the puzzles are too easy. The also is too much back-and-forth, having to go back to finished areas repeatedly. Finally, you are warned in game not to do something, but, you are required to do this thing to finish the game..? I know these tend to be very linear, but this was just silly that there wasn't a branch so you could choose to follow or not follow the advice. Empress 2 is better, skip this one and go right to the next.
If you enjoy games like lost city you will enjoy this. Empress of the deep part one is a great start of a promising series. It's not exactly an old school adventure title but there's enough puzzles (none that challenging mind you) to keep exploring the beautiful environments. It is a good mix of hidden object with a good helping of brain teasers. All in all I recommend it.
No exit option! Really???? I love Big Fish Games, but when they decided to enter the field of android games, they've missed a few marks! There is no exit button! Therefore you have to try to get back to your home screen or do a force close! Another prob addressed by others, you cannot zoom in on any screen making it impossible to identify objects without carrying around a magnifying glass in order to play. Not acceptable BFG! Please fix these problems and you will get your 5 stars!
Terrible on a tablet This may be better on pc, but it looks terrible on my Nexus 10. The graphics are very grainy and the edges of objects are too jagged to identify. I guess it's my fault for not trying the demo first. I assumed that all of the Big Fish ho games available for Android tablets look as good as the new ones (which are beautiful).
Used to love playing all 3 games Don't pay for download until you try free version first to see if it will work on your phone most likely it will not work on a newer Galaxy I loved all 3 Empress games I played them on my S3 However when I had to get new phone I knew I had to re download the games. The only game I can play on my Galaxy S5 is Empress of the deep 3. The other 2 automatically shut down.
