With the dashlink installed (soon to be required my the mandate) you can't pull toward from the fuel island without it automatically putting you on-duty driving. The truck can't move anymore then 30 feet otherwise it goes to on-duty driving. The app itself is really good easy to use and accurate but combined with the dash link it's horrible. The developers did not research the trucking community when they built this. Didn't consider fuel stop, truck parking, or just dropping a trailer. Extend the automatic on-duty driving change to something practical let's say 1/4 mile then it would be workable but as of right now I highly illadvise it. It's more trouble then it's worth. I'd recommend something else to meat the mandate
This app started having issues on 12/8/17. While driving, it has changed my duty status over 120 times. Put me in the same truck 20 times, with different odometer readings. Nobody can tell me what's going on. As with humans, electronic don't always tell the truth
Was a major fan of the app and recommended it to everyone I talked to about ELD's but since I paid for a subscription and installed the dashlink I've lost a lot of respect for it. Spoke with support about some issues I had and was flatly told that it's an FMCSA regulation so it has to be that way, yet most other ELD's don't have the problem. First is that you can't move more than 5 feet without going on the drive line. I shouldn't have to use the yard move option just to move forward at the fuel pump or everytime I move up in line waiting to get to the guard shack. Since I got my subscription I can no longer edit my logs via the web portal, I'm now forced to do it on the device. App also needs the ability to create macros for automating various compliance functions. Text needs to be able to scale to the device being used. Had it on my Rand McNally but had to switch back to phone because I couldn't read anything on the tablet, print was to small. Need better DVIR functionality.
Thinking sleeper split time is wrong on here. It doesn't extend your 14, neither does off duty... please tell me if I'm wrong
Driving through big cities; such as Dallas, TX, during stop and go interstate traffic throws you constantly from driving to on duty repeatedly. This would cause a bad meeting with any D.O.T. officer or auditor when they saw it. Sorry...not worth that grilling.
The system will place you in driving status even if you simply move forward in the fuel island. This is ridiculous!
