Simple, clean and works well. One feature I'd really appreciate would be for the arrow to remain facing up while the map rotates. It can be confusing when the arrow is pointing downwards and a turn us coming up. Sure it's not that difficult to work out, but when you're traveling quickly in traffic, it can be distracting. Also showing how far you have to the next turn would be handy as well. Cheers
Great simple map app! I'd gladly pay again if you add these features: high contrast mode, as google map is hard to read in sunlight; offline map tiles.
Great lightweight app to navigate from gpx files, paired with the bikegpx web-based import it is so simple. Just one wish... Make the map orientate automatically to direction of travel... It would then be 5 stars.
This app has one fatal flaw. The map it uses. >The roads are drawn waaaay to narrow and in white while the background is light grey. Sitting relaxed behind the computer I can barely see some roads, I think when outside on my bike it will be useless. Also some roads disappear or become even more narrow when zooming in and out (it's glitchy) >It also doesn't show some bicycle paths (why not use openstreetmap?) Some other smaller issues: >Waypoints are not shown when importing a gpx file only start and finish (no problem for me) >The only way to import a gpx file is by using their website. Granted, it goes very smooth and it's a brilliant option and executing but I should be able to open a gpx file from my email or folder or whatever. I'm sorry for the two stars but hopefully my feedback is helpful and you will at least fix the near invisible roads.
There isn't a way to load a GPX file directly from the phone
Clean and simple. I'm using it as backup for a 1000mile bicycle route book. Hoping to get back on the track easy. So far it looks perfect!
- You can now download GPX files from Chrome and other apps and open them in BikeGPX.
- You can now set the screen to stay on while navigating.
- Much more robust importing from other websites.
