Best tuner app out there I've used this app on both iOS and Android - first on my 3GS, then on my HTC Sensation XE and now on my Nexus 5. I absolutely love it! Only problem i have, is that it will lock up on Android if i do anything else for a while with the app stil open in the background. A simple workaround for this is to simply close it after using it, which i've gotten used to doing by now. I would definitely give it a 5 star score if this was fixed!
Pretty good, but still lacking. It's great, except I need a faster & easier way to adjust the reference frequency. I tune pipe organs and it's time consuming to enter the menu and type in a new frequency repeatedly to match the tuner to an existing reference pitch, or taking the median of a group of frequencies. Also, I need the ability to enter custom tunings. For instance, i have an instrument tuned in Fisk II, which is not included.
Can't use it on my Google Nexus 7. I have this on my iPhone and love it. I use my own custom temperaments. When I got the Nexus 7 I thought it would be a kick to have it on that device also. I know people use it on their other Android devices and can program custom temperaments with no problems but on this tablet there is no option to do that. I simply cannot use this on my Nexus device. Money wasted in this case.
please fix the interface. broken since getting new droid turbo Hi! This app is great and worked very well on my S4. But please fix the interface. It has broken as a result of getting the new Droid Turbo. Perhaps it is due to the resolution of the device. When displaying the frequency, the first two digits are shown next to the octave & note, but the third digit appears to be below the first two and is not readable... :(
No longer supports temperaments UPDATE: Galaxy S6 - there is no way to enter a temperament. Since the change in the buttons on the Android phone, one cannot get into the temperament editing screen. These people no longer support this app - I tried contacting them without success. For setting up temperaments on my autoharps I now use pitch lab pro, which is easy and quick. Too bad, this app had a pretty face!
can't be beat for a phone tuner this is a great backup tool to (literally) keep in my pocket at a gig in case something goes wrong with my actual tuning devices. since i always have my phone on hand it's been a great investment. i wouldn't choose to use it as a primary but I know other players who do. works best with a clear signal, ie in a quiet room or perched in front of an amp. I can get reliable enough results by placing it on the bridge of my upright bass, which is saying something as not all tuners do well with the low frequencies.
