Simple. Appears to have good reviews according to independent AV lab testing reports. Very basic. Cloud based, real time update and download protection. With apps now requiring extensive permissions, clearly that information exploit will be the new battleground for identity theft. And probably far easier to access private information since you said yes to an app with all it's permissions.
Four reasons Bitdefender Free is better than any other antivirus out there: 1. An outstanding and reliable detection rate. 2. Incredibly lightweight and has virtually no impact on battery or memory (On my Galaxy S8+ it was only using 24 MB of memory, other antivirus programs were using well over 100 MB). 3. It only offers antivirus protection and doesn't come with all the bloatware that other AV's include, you know the stuff you really don't need but is constantly running in the background anyway. 4. You always have the latest virus definitions because it uses cloud scanning so downloading definitions aren't necessary.
So far so good.... It was able to find 2 malicious apps which other anti viruses couldn't.... I like that its lightweight, doesn't consume much battery life plus so far no ads........ I'd advice you guys to get this antivirus app.... Is it the best antivirus?.... Nope it can't be the best when theres no other antivirus on its level..... It's a antivirus of the highest caliber 😎
Bitdefender antivirus free is an amazing antivirus program for many reasons. 1: it uses cloud scanning, so you don't have to worry about manually downloading defenitions. 2: it uses lightweight impact on your device, meaning it doesn't take up storage on your device, or drains your battery. 3: it has a very simple interface, making it very easy to use. 4: NO ADS!!!
Best AV so far. Although an internet connection is required, it does what it says unlike other AV and even lite versions with memory cleaner or booster which consumes too much battery, not sure about their cleaning viruses and can also accidentally delete your important files that may disappoint some users. This one for me is the perpect AV.
Unfortunately, I could find no way to scan my SD storage on an LG Viper 4G LTE (aka LS840) running Android 4.0.4. The Bitdefender app suggests clicking on Apps / Permissions and then changing the permission for Storage, but there is no Permissions button on the Apps screen or any way to modify the Permissions for the app. I tried unmounting and remounting the SD card so it would be scanned automatically, but the app would not scan the SD card upon remounting it. If there's a way to change the permissions (without downloading another app to do so) I haven't found it yet. I move most apps to the SD card so it would be time-consuming to move each app to the phone just to scan it.
