This is indeed a very useful car automation app. The built-in Google maps section is the only downside for those without internet access or when using 3rd party offline navigation apps. It would for example be better to allow to launch 3rd party navigation apps directly just by pressing the navigation button instead of entering the built-in maps section and then manually launch the third party navigation app manually each time. Also please consider to allow testing for Beta releases here on the Play Store. Keep up the good work and best regards.
I agree that this app has enormous potential but it needs more bug fixes and performance improvements. Running on Nvidia Shield K1 Pandora is glitching and performance after being on for several hours is poor. Despite all this the extra functionality in my mind makes it better than Android auto and I love the premium features
This is a great app. I think pulling from the Android Auto look is a smart move and I think that the added features are incredible. I do have two gripes though. The map screen doesn't seem to work all that well. Very choppy while navigating and doesn't stay centered whatsoever. And the voice commands seem to be hit or miss.
I can't uninstall this app. device administrator setting to disable throws settings app into a force close and is unable to complete deactivation. first force stop offers reopening app. second force stop only provides option to close failing app. can not uninstall and it is so frustrating!
Lots of potential, but some issues keep me from using it in my car's Android head unit. I love the Android Auto look most of all, but the issues outweigh the look currently. Probably the biggest is that the Nav view defaults to Google Maps, when I specifically use Sygic to use offline Navigation. I can still open Sygic, but I like having the home navigation buttons available instantly. Another issue is that it doesn't recognize or do anything different for the car radio. It does display in the app list under the Music view, but there's no integration at all. It also doesn't recognize the built-in phone and bluetooth app.
Lots of settings for customisation. Particularly like auto-text response & auto-music functions. Seems to crash a lot with Google maps and loses 4G inside the app but Maps are fine when used outside of AutoMate. It's got great potential but not reliable enough yet.
