Hi, the input dictation was made available through the mic present on the keyboard but doesn't work. It's cut by a backslash. The app did not request when update any permissions (like for the mic) but I did manually give permission to the BlackBerry keyboard unde app \ permissions to mic and storage and still not working. I guess this feature for the keyboard is not working. If someone got this working please let me know
The latest update is still not good enough. The English keyboard is fixed to a certain extent. The cursor is not as visible as the tear drop tends to hide below the newly installed emoji and special character ribbon that comes on top. More importantly, the Arabic Keyboard is still missing the additional special characters for vowels (on the right three dots).
Very intuitive keyboard could be 5 stars but for some personal preferences that they had in previous versions. Had to find out how to disable that top bar, I liked how it worked in previous versions where you could pull the options up if needed but that's more just my personal preference. (Note: By disabling the top bar in the settings means you can't use it at all. I would like to have the options of using that bar just don't want it to constantly be taking up valuable screen space when I'm not using it) (Bug: By holding the triple vertical dot button you can temporarily hide the top bar, however it then puts a caps lock on without a visual indication that it's on. Also the bar will appear again once you hit enter / send)
The randomly-inserting-words-or-numbers issue has been fixed, which is greatly appreciated, but now the problem seems to be that the touch keyboard just isn't 'learning'. For example, no matter how often I type 'the' it always corrects it to 'Tue' despite previous corrections. Not really 'learning' now is it? Just a suggestion: could the next update please possibly include an option to have either show prediction in the top bar area or above the words in the keyboard but not both? It seems a little redundant to have both the prediction row on top of the screen keyboard as well as on top of the words (which by itself I actually prefer rather than the prediction row). Otherwise, the keyboard is working well.
I love this app, and the recent update has been it even better to use. A slight issue that I've noticed after the last update has been the excessive battery consumption by this app. This app is now constantly among the top three battery draining apps on my phone. I use a KEYone, and I wondered if there was any fix for this?
Giving this rating just because of the last update, which made the already boiling back side of Priv uncontrollable level of heating and battery drain. Please do something to rectify this issue. This app is on top of the list in battery consumption.
• Use Quick Modes to quickly access dictation mode, emojis, text selection mode, and the clipboard right from the keyboard.
• Minor enhancements and stability fixes
Note: You might be prompted with new permissions for audio, which is necessary to provide the enhanced voice controls in the BlackBerry Keyboard.
