It's ok I really like that Piper cameras and the ability to integrate with my deadbolts and door sensors. The app however will not connect to Piper if my phone is on a cell network. If it's connected to any wifi, home or away, it has no problems. Please fix the app so I can arm/disarm the system when I'm not near wifi.
Good concept, but limited The development needs to listen to more user feedback. There isn't even a customer forum to discuss problems and ideas. For example, there is no way to customize Android notification sound (I want my Piper notification to sound different than my Android default). There is also no automation to automatically turn off accessories after they have been turned on (smartthings is a completely superior Zwave hub). We want more from Piper. There is potential.
Complete garbage. Constantly getting "cannot connect to Piper". When the alarm is being triggered the app gets overdetermined with stimuli and it freezes (cannot connect) when you need it the most. This has been the case on 3 devices including relatively high end phones.
The app works perfectly on my s7 edge. No matter where I'm at, I can access piper and monitor my home. I've been playing around with it and it picks up the slightest movement for intruders. Would recommend to family and friends for a whole security system.
I've been using it for almost 2 yrs. It's getting worse. Pet detection not really working, temperature thresholds not working, redesign ruined the app usability. Support useless. I'd buy something else these days.
We love it so far except that the app has connectivity ussues with our Android devices at times. It seems to be especially true when the Piper is in Alarmed state - we have trouble connecting to the app to re-arm it, and the notifications will say "Processing..." for minutes, sometimes for over 10 or even 15 minutes. That is too slow for a security device. If there really is an issue, I need to be able to react quickly. If the team could resolve some of these major issues, this would be a 5 star review.
