Update: now 1 star as their support lvl2 claims pet detection cannot be avoided (so contrary to what they advertise). Level one was sure it should be working differently. Avoid them. I've been using it for almost 2 yrs. It's getting worse. Pet detection not really working, temperature thresholds not working, redesign ruined the app usability. Support useless. I'd buy something else these days.
I really like the value propostion and the advertised features. However, Piper cannot reconnect reliably after any kind of an internet disruption, rendering it unusable. I've reported the problem, but no fix is in sight. I'm very disappointed in this company.
Wasn't able to connect to my piper cameras (i have 3 of them) when I needed it most (failed to auto disarm and siren was going off) and it wasn't my internet's fault. Security systems need 100% reliability and uptime. No excuses.
Its a great app... very functional... and improvements all the time.... i do wish they used better colors...way to much Orange...
Norton just warned me that the app sends my email information to India and marked it as a privacy risk.
The app is just decent, checking the boxes for all the basic stuff, but there are a few features it needs that are still missing. Namely it needs a notification slot that allows quick home/away toggling without needing to open the app itself; a widget would also be acceptable. Also it records a ton of environmental data, but it hands it to you in the form of extremely vague graphs limited to 48hrs, a bit more depth would be nice.
