Functional app but poor remote access Overall the app does a decent job, but remote video access is VERY VERY poor. Unless you are on a very strong 4G or wifi remotely, it either doesnt connect at all or is just flat out a waste of date. Stuttering & pixelated video, sound very choppy. For a £200 device, its ropey at best. IFTTT fuctionality has potential, but its just a glitchy mess right now. Avoid this product until future firmwares....at least.
Life360 no improvement I don't want to download another app. Make simple schedule to arm or whenever smartphone disconnects from Piper then arm. Great updates though I know eventually this app will get it right. Also I have the light bulb but it can take a while to tun on or off I wish it could be more responsive.
Terrible connectivity The device and concept itself is good. The execution with the connection is awful. I have 3 separate high speed devices that have zero problems connecting and staying connected to the high speed internet and Wi-Fi. This is the only app that is slow to or lacks the ability to respond to Wi-Fi access daily. Having to repeatedly close and reopen the app so piper can detect the app is frustrating. While testing with the alarm, it took 2 whole minutes of errors to finally connect and disable the alarm. FIX!
Useless! Cameras might be great (who knows!) Because the app is awful. Disconnects, can't stream... I haven't been able to access my cameras in three days (or disable alerts!) Because it can't connect to Piper. Returning the cameras, not worth the headache.
The physical device is very nice, but the poorly running app really takes away from it. Connects slow at times, even on Wi-Fi. Crashes often when trying to view video clips.
Great potential. Three major let downs... 1) Only 40sec video clips? 2) Takes 5mins to rearm? 3) IR kicks in far to soon, when there is still plenty of available light?
