Ratings and reviews

Nearly unplayable over mobile. Haven't played this in a bit but tried to pick it up while relaxing on vacation and it tries to force me to find internet connection likely because it needs more bandwidth to load ads and apparently gather each puzzle over a connection to Mars. Even able to get a puzzle or two but certainly not a convenient method of usage.

Edited: Was 5 stars. Now it's buggy, unresponsive and throws too many ads at you. Original review: It sounds weird, but I cancelled my NY Times Crossword subscription for this game. While the daily puzzles are usually pretty easy, the vast array of archives and puzzle collections are challenging and full of depth. Some I finish under a minute, but some can take a bit of time to wrap your brain around. Hints are available, but where is the fun in that?

I enjoy the daily challenge of playing. However, the newest version loads much slower on my phone. Also there are so many ads, a lot of which are obtrusive and they can be difficult to play. It's a real turnoff. I find myself clicking on some ads because they load so slowly. I think a puzzle is ready to go so I start solving it only to find I engaged the ad and now my browser or the play store is now loading.
