Reverse: 1999 is a 20th Century Time-Travel Strategic RPG developed by Bluepoch.

On the last day of 1999, the "Storm" fell upon the world. You witnessed an era reversed beneath the rising raindrops. Defying all reasons, what unfolds in front of you is the world of an era long past.

As the Timekeeper, observer of eras, you are free to travel through these eras after each "Storm." With the aid of Sonetto, a powerful Arcanist and ally from the Foundation, your mission is to travel through eras to where the "Storm" is most active, find other Arcanists who can sense the coming "Storm," and save them from being "sifted out" of the timeline.

I’ve been playing Reverse: 1999 on and off since release, and let me tell you—it’s one of the best things that’s happened to me, especially in the gacha game space. From the historical references in the storytelling to the art and the music, it all just scratches my brain in the best way. Even when I take breaks, I always find myself circling back to it. 9/10. (It would be a 10 if they kept adding more characters from different countries, especially places in Africa.)

incredible game. the story, voice acting, and art are all top tier and in fact are the main reasons i come back to this game! the story itself is beautiful, and an amazing allegory for a number of real world issues—the exigency of it is what makes it all the more compelling. and the art and characters are incredibly detailed. the only issue I have is the endgame content—at times needing to pull for and build 4 separate teams. but if it was easy it wouldnt be fun and its all optional anyways!

As a new player, enjoying this game. The combat is a relatively easy puzzle, with enough complexity to avoid being boring. since I am coming in late, there is lots of story to work through. thete is a bit of grinding, though - resources for leveling up take a fair amount of time, both in waiting for the auto battle to complete, and in waiting for energy to regenerate. still, overall, I am happy fo continue.
