The box says the expiration date is 6/2017, while the patch itself says it expires 6/2016. Seeing as how it is now 3/2017 and the patch doesn't even register in the app, I'm assuming it expired in 2016 and I'm a little angry. A lot angry. Total waste of time and money when I thought it was going to be a godsend for my sick son and I.
spent too much money for something that is a one time use product that didn't even work the way it was supposed to. kept saying out of range when the phone was literly RIGHT by my child!!! Love the idea it needs a lot of the glitches fixed updated or something! I was really excited to use this as I thought it would really give my very sick toddler the peace to rest better without me having to mess with him sooo much.. NOT TRUE!
Too many errors App kept saying out of range or no signal when I was 5 feet from my daughter. Then it would update the main screen with a current temperature but not save it to the history so that I could keep track. The problem is this software is so glitchy and problematic and you're really paying for the software, not the sticker. What good is the sticker if the software is so faulty? Not the peace of mind I'd hoped for.
Does Not Work Got this because my little one was running a high fever and wanted to track through the night. Temp taken with a forehead scanner red 102 degrees and this never read over 97 degrees. Also our bedroom and living room are out of range :( Overall not worth the time and money.
great idea but two issues. 1) did not work. Tried on two phones. 2) 20.00 for something that does not work that I am trusting to keep my loved ones safe
I thought the product and app were awesome! I have read the other reviews; however, I believe the majority of failures may be due to improper application or fitting of the patch. It doesn't the take much for the corner to not be right under the armpit, when you're dealing with a baby or toddler. It can be removed and reapplied. The first time I used it I he'd the corner under the left armpit with the remaining patch wrapped around her side and onto her back. After sleeping all night it had peeled up from her back. It was still working, though, because the corner was still in place. The next time I switched sides, so that part would wrap around towards her chest. Worked great. With a baby or toddler twisting and turning all night, there will be more movement in the back, shoulder blades area, I would think. Anyway, that worked better for us. I checked the temperature on the app against our regular thermometer several times before she went to sleep and it was perfect every time. So, it was nice to be able to check her temperature during the night without having to disturb her. Of course, I felt of her skin as well, but I did not have to take her temperature with the standard equipment. I loved that it recorded her temperature every two minutes the entire time it was in use. I could see patterns that I could attribute to certain activities or even locations, because it is truly mobile. Also, was easy to remove without hurting her skin; it did not leave a mark at all. Again, we loved it.
Added an alert for rapid temperature drops which can occur when raising the arm covering the TempTraq patch.
